People will likely vehemently disagree, but I've always thought that the sound at the ACC is really good.

Couldn't agree more. The sound last night was great and we were sitting side stage.

Incredible show. But even more incredible, the fans. This is the loudest I have heard the ACC and I have been to many, many events there. The emotion was just pouring out last night. When he sang Gift Shop, because of the lyrics and Gord's condition, I lost it. Had to sit down for a couple minutes and my wife asked me if I was OK. I was bawling. It just hit me hard.

That ovation for Gord was the biggest outpouring of love I have ever been involved in.

Had great seats in Section 118, Row 19. Funny enough exact same seat numbers but 2 rows better than my Pearl Jam tickets (and I am a member of the Ten Club since 1998). So lucky to have scored on the ticket drop last Wednesday. Next 2 nights are 317 obstructed row 16 and I looked up there last night before the show and asked a security guard and he said they are fine no real obstructions. Anyways, don't care just blessed to be in the building each night.

Best setlist I have ever heard. Not sure how ANY fan could be disappointed in ANY of it. This show ranks as close to my favourite Hip show of all time and I have been to many. The song selection was incredible. So many old gems and it just felt like we were transported back in time. Nautical Disaster was a fave. So Hard Done By was brilliant. I loved Lake Fever. I also loved The Luxury, what a treat. I love the small set, tight setup of the band for the first few songs.

Not sure about those lights that come down or why they need them but I didn't care I was rocking out and enjoying every minute.

Bring on Friday and Sunday!

Seriously, look at this f-ing setlist!:

The Luxury
Little Bones
Fiddler’s Green
Three Pistols
In a World Possessed by the Human Mind
Tired as f**k
What Blue
Machine
My Music at Work
Lake Fever
Toronto #4
Putting Down
Gift Shop
Springtime in Vienna
Flamenco
Ahead by a Century
Fully Completely
At the Hundredth Meridian
Wheat Kings
Fifty-Mission Cap

ENCORE

Grace, Too
So Hard Done By
Nautical Disaster

SECOND ENCORE

Bobcaygeon
Poets

I was at the show last night and wanted to share a couple things that stood out. They both happened during 'Toronto #4.'

Gord sorta butchered it, unfortunately. He had the words in front of him but just couldn't seem to remember how the song went. No big deal.

Anyway, I was sitting to the right of the stage, right at eye level with the band. As Gord started struggling, Robby seemed to look over to our section, and he had a big smile on his face. It was sort a knowing little "I know this isn't right, but it's cool, we got this" kind of look.

Then after the song both Sinclair and Johnny had moments with Gord where it seemed like they were trying to get him composed. Sinclair whispered a couple things in his ear and gave him a pat on the back. Johnny reached right over his kit and held Gordie's hand for a moment while they spoke.

Both kind of sweet moments that were interesting to see.

Great review. Much deeper than the Sun's... Like that you noticed how good Lake Fever was too!

Ever since I first heard Live Between Us, I always think of Gord talking about the guy, shaking a banana at people, trying to convince them it's making a sound when I hear The Luxury.
