Song: It changes lots but Nautical Disaster is up there...Put It Off is insence aura goodness.

I would marry Gord Downie without question. I saw The Hip in November at two of their four Commodore dates in Vancouver. Absolutely amazing. Need to see them again as many times as possible.

Welcome fellow hipbase member, and family member!! Your Uncle is very proud of the fact he took you to your first hip show!!! :thumb:

:thumb: Interesting. She'd better be a Canucks fan also. :rambo: :P

DFN is a masterpiece, an absolute masterpiece. Steve-o, your niece has great taste in music. DFN and IBE are both terrific. Rob Baker said that The Stones, to him, will never have another 'Exile on Main St'. Well, The Hip will never have another 'Day For Night'.

Anyway, enough of my ranting. Welcome to one and all.

my niece is amazing..she's cool cool shit, so don't hate her cause she's related to me!!! :P

I would never do that. 8) :P :P :thumb: I bet she's even a Fiona fan. :D .......maybe not. :P

I have a playlist set on random as an alarm. Today I woke up to Criminal, which is a great wake up song.

Cool. Welcome. I think you would get along well with my cousin. He could pretty much catch anything in any lake, river, harbour, ocean.

You are an amazing person! I am proud that you took me to my first Hip show too. We need to make it happen again soon, I wish I was coming to Seatle with you guys. But I am a broke ass unfortunately.

Hi All!!

I just signed up today but I've been a fan of the Hip for a few years now. I live in Northern Ireland where sadly the Hip aren't all that well known but I'm doing my best to recruit people!!
Hopefully if the Hip come to Uk at all this year I'll be able to go! I missed them last summer :(

I'm 22/male, I'm huge Calgary Flames fan too! I enjoy listening to music and hanging out with friends. Just the usual stuff I guess.

Nice to meet you all!!

Welcome aboard! It's always good to see dedicated fans outside of North America!

Hi, my name is Kat and I've been a Hipoholic since the early 90's. I live in the central valley of California--right in the middle of the state--and sometimes feel like I'm the only Hip fan out here. I am one of the last fossils who looks at alt.music.tragically-hip even though it's a graveyard (except for the ghost of she-who-must-not-be-named). I've been a little nervous about posting here because it's rather foreign to me. I teach English at a high school and love it. My daughter is a Hip fan and will be going to her 2nd show at the Fillmore next week. She still can't believe how much Gordon sweats. I guess that's it. I will still lurk in the graveyard, but I'm going to try to find my way around here more.

Don't worry, nobody can really understand how much Gord sweats. Any normal man would collapse after sweating that much that quickly. I've discussed the matter with some in the medical profession and they've come to the conclusion that Gord isn't human. He does, as some people believe, come from and live in his own universe. :D

It's great to see fans from California and Ireland. :thumb:

Oh I miss that place.

I only stopped going after my free newsgroup reader cancelled on me (yes, I am that tight)

Some of us here have been trying to draw Wot Gorrila into the daylight, so if you see him, tell him to pop his head back in at the 'Base

Hello fellow hip fans!!

My name is Tom. I live in Hamilton ON. I enjoy the Hip as well as other rock n roll bands such as: Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and many others. I work as a dispatcher, I love music (obviously) and I also enjoy sports such as hockey (Bruins Fan) Football (Ticats and Chicago Bears fan).

Look forward to speaking to other fans of this great canadian rock n roll band

cheers,

Tom
