just using phish as a comparison to the hip right now
and showing that as you get older your shows dont need to be boring

Why so serious?

Have you listened to a band other than the hip in the past 10 years

Other bands exist and our out there

you dont have to hear the same blow or hundred where gord does the same sance with the tissue and hands fans sweat covered tissues in true rock star format!

Really depends on what oyu like

I am willing to bet you are into wierd fetishes

Do you have a point or are you just letting us know that you're a dick?

wow...can't joke around? you told all the set list whiners to suck it, but can't handle a joke?... sorry.

As far as my point, I personally think the set lists can offer more variety without turning off the casual fan. Other bands do it, I'm sure they could put a little effort into it and make it happen. I saw Springsteen this year, and he is doing a show with the same songs in the same slots almost every evening (around 25 songs) and he leaves 5 of those song selections for rarities/ breakouts... I think that would be an easy solution that all would be fine with.

By comparison Phish are only 15 shows into their summer tour and have played 183 different song titles... apples & oranges but, it IS possible to keep the new songs in every show & rotate some other 'Hits' in that would please a 'Festival Crowd'... 50MC, Fully, Twist, 38, 3 Pistols, Locked, Nautical, Springtime, Escape, Gus, Family Band, Ocean come to mind immediately... Call it a tip of the cap to the fan that sprung a lot for 3 shows in a row, had to arrange time off, travel, accommodations & possibly explain to a wife why seeing a band 3 times in a row was a sound, sane & essential investment... Whatever... All I know is that those first 15-20 shows in 2009 were fuckin' awesome with their 2 set format and grab bag song selections... It was definitely a treat to be spoiled that way... C'est la vie...

Phish is killing it right now !
Someone should by Gord a ticket to their spac show and some bath salts

maybe it will bring back some excitment to the hip

Before that guy who posts saying there are 19000 fans that want this greatest hits crap,!

Well I speak for myself and these shows look boring

http://phish.net/ here ya go
