Would've been there but it's my buddy's bachelor party. Tried convincing him we should all go but he's not a fan

Believe it or not, i'm going to be at this one. My wife and I are touristing it up in Ottawa this weekend (it was a half, "we want to go to Canada," half "oh look the Hip are playing" thing.) :D

I'll be there... looking forward to it. Hitting Pub Italia beforehand for some food and brews, and then taking my Dad (65-years old) to his first Hip show.
Figured it's a good setlist, lots of their hits, so he should appreciate it.

I will be there and my wife is going too with her posse of schoolyard moms. not a fan of the layout this year vs previous (took in the Black Keys last night).

Is a Hip show ever not worthwhile?

I wil be there with my dad. this is going to be my second hip show. (first was may 15th 2009 massey hall) i'm very excited! should be a great concert! i saw gord solo and rush at bluesfest last year and really enjoyed both shows. i hope they can throw a rare song into the setlist for tonight, but if not i will still be very happy because it it the hip!

Might have the order wrong, but I think these were the songs played...

Blow
Grace
Streets Ahead
Poets
ABAC
In View
Drip Drip
100th
Gift Shop
Fiddler's
FC
Courage
BobC
NOIS-NautD-NOIS
Bones

Locked

Good show, got better as it went on. Found the mix a bit off early on, but got better as the night progressed.
Highlights were Gift Shop, a strong rendition I found, Fully, always a favourite, and the NOIS-Nautical-NOIS medley, which brought me back to my first Hip show in '95, which had NOIS-Nautical-ABAC-NOIS, back when Ahead By a Century's lyrics were only for CBC late night audiences...

Cheers!!!

Setlist

blow
grace
streets
gift shop
abac
in view
poets
100th
fidlers
drip
fully
courage
bob
nois/nautical
little bones

trunk of car

show despite short was EPIC. Crowd was electric, the lads were on fire, energy was through the roof. Top 5 of the 16 ive seen. Gord was at the top of his game, and the sound from the band was perfect. Only complaint from where I was, the 2 new songs didnt hit crowd good.

9/10 show if not 9.5. Gold imo.

Yeah, it was good, but I agree... the new tunes didn't seem to wow anyone. Is it me, or did they sound garbled?

How come Ottawa only got 1 encore song, and Winnipeg got 3? How do they determine how many encore songs to play - by crowd energy, or venue time?
