At the Canada Day show at the Molson Amphitheatre, Gord sang this line during the outro to Nautical.. if I recall correctly. Listen the the LiveDownload and you'll hear it, just as it was during the old commercials.

"A place to live, a place to grow, Ontari, ari, ari, O!"

Quick anecdote from my childhood:

In elementary school, our choir (...mandatory choir...) sung a song for a "concert" about each Canadian province. This was the Ontario one! How I remembered that, I'm not quite sure. I'll see if I can find more on this jingle.

Holy crap, that might be the best setlist I've seen from the boys in quite a while. Sounds like it was a killer show. Great reviews, everybody!

I remeber that song.
That, Participaction, and that damn Tivoli song. (although if you ever did go to Tivoli, you did feel like being Godzilla and just crushing the buildings......)

Ok...Great setlist...only downer was Fireworks. At least for me. At least I could run to the loo.

Sound was good except for when Gords mic went out. Robbies guitar could have been a little louder for the folks on Pauls side of the stage. Vocals were very clear and rants were very audible. Over an A- on the sound.

New songs, particularly the one to open the encore really rocked.

There were 2 tapers that I saw...and one guy with a video camera setup.

Decent crowd (Maybe 2500) considering all that was going on in Pittsburgh.

Hugh23 wrote:I enjoyed this show for a number of reasons. First, because it was free. Second, because our Hipbase group watched the show together from the second row in front of Robbie. Finally, the set list was a great mixture of songs showing The Hip's diverse ability and talent. I couldn't have had a more enjoyable evening with my friends and The Hip.
Hugh, I couldn't agree with you more. I was at all 3 shows this past weekend but probably had the most fun in Pittsburgh, and a large part of that was because of fellow Hipbasers. It was great to meet up with all of you and share our mutual Hip passion. So thank you Hugh, Carolyn, Jamie (thehip11), SoylentGreg, barny0055, Brian (1175), Cheryl and everyone else who I may have forgotten.

I took over 350 photos at that show which I need to look at. I'll get some up as soon as I can.

There was a family with 3 kids behind me who had come up from Richmond, Virginia. Both girls had Hip related names - one was Grace and the other's middle name was Cordelia. Very cool.

Nice to meet everyone at this show - and thanks to Hugh for organizing the get-together. The Pittsburgh show was definitely the highlight of my weekend for several reasons... the show in Lewiston was kind of a let-down for me, although at the risk of *perhaps* offending others in this forum I will bite my tounge and just say that it was great to meet everyone. The family that was behind gentoo with the little girls named Grace and Cordelia were awesome! The one little girl sang the entire lyrics to Grace, Too as the Hip played it. My wife and I and Hugh's cousin (I can't remember your name now, sorry...) were amazed and loving it!
