Wow, those shots are fantastic. I love the one where you can see the rafters, and of course the backlit one of Paul is great. And the one of Gord with the purple lights. Acutally they're all great.

I didn't feel like putting up any of the average shots, but these are by far some of the better ones.
Comments are appreciated.

Those are some really great shots, CP quality to be sure. Well done. Nice composition, good exposures.

SLR, 35 or 35-80 lens, 800 film I'm guessing.... Did you manually take them or leave it to the auto. What kind of camera? Did you use bounce flash or stage lights?

The Paul silouhette goes on the cover of my newspaper any day.
I used an olympus point and shoot camera with a 35 mm lens (no zoom). Unfortunately they didn't allow SLR cameras in this time around, otherwise I would've brought one. Due to the fact that it was a point and shoot, I had to just leave it on auto.
The lighting was just the stage lighting without a flash. Personally, I like the look of them a lot more with just the stage lights.
Thank you for all the kind words :)
Yep! Ya gotta go stage lights! Flash just bleaches the image, and if you're not up front, illuminates the backs of heads of the folks in front of you.

No SLR's? Wow, I hope that changes later in the tour.

Yeah, but for once I was glad I didn't have mine. It would've been cool and all to take the shots with it, but unfortunately I don't have a wide angle lens; the widest I have on my SLR is 50mm. If I did bring it, I would've been taking photos right up Gord's nose.
But hey, I'm more than happy with what I ended up with

new city was "happenin'"....so they didnt need to look for a place to be happen...in?
maybe they we itching to play gus?
maybe the other gord broke a string on his "half tunes down guitar" and didnt wanna wait for the tech to tune a third git?
maybe they dont like that song anymore?
maybe they are sick of playing old songs, and wanted to fit in new ones?
maybe they realized that the fuckers who run the joint gave them less set time than origionally promised.
i wonder if the hip are sick of new orleans is sinking? they HAVE to play it every time!

Finally got around to checking out this part of the forum. We were against the stage in front of Gord S. and Rob. My wife and I got married on June 25th so this was our early wedding present to ourselves.

My wife was very lucky to have Johnny walk up to her at the end of the show and give her these:

We are trying very hard to get a picture with the band so that we can finally frame it all, but no luck so far.

You may remember a very large Viking....that was my little bro.

Track Notes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the first time the songs from "In Between Evolution" were played in
public.

Vaccination Scar - Gord starts into a rant thinking they're going to do
"Courage", but Paul comes over and tells him that the next
song is actually "Vaccination Scar".

Mean Streak - Gord says "No one who throws a beach ball could really be that
mean". He's referring to a beach ball that was being thrown
around and knocked down his mic stand before they started into
the song.

Wheat Kings - Bobby plays a Fender lap steel guitar on this song.
